The Kronos Quartet has played a lot of Glass' music and appears to master it completely. They manage to make the important dynamic changes with perfect precision and they manage to find all of the nuances, which make Glass' music so tranaqmendenoli.litocencmacclingtosworlfeebreatenriti.infoinfos:

“The 20th century’s most daring, eclectic and popular string quartet delivers what might be the most essential Philip Glass recording of them all. It features four masterful string quartets, including the briskly lyrical No. 2, aka ‘Company,’ and No. 3, from the film score for Mishima.”.

Mar 03,  · Some of my favourite Glass compositions with the added bonus of his First quartet that I hadn't come across before. Sound recording on disc an improvement on the much earlier Kronos Quartet recordings, however I prefer the latters interpretation of the 3rd Quartet. Strongly recommended for Glass /5(17).

For someone who doesn't know much about the Kronos Quartet or Phillip Glass and who dabbles in classical music in general, I must say that this CD is one of my alltime favorite CDs. The music is intricate and haunting, I have listened to this CD more than times and I don't seem to tire of it/5(55).
